About Penta Star

We decided to build this site not just to showcase our pride and joy and record
our adventures, but we wanted to impart to anyone else considering such an
undertaking as our own, the benefit of our knowledge and experience that we gained
in the pursuit of our dream...

That dream was to purchase a yacht and sail from Vancouver Island Canada back
to the eastern shores of Australia and my home on the Gold Coast.

Despite being raised on the water myself , my wife Pam and I were virtual neophytes
to the cruising aspects of what I feel is one of the most skilled, elegant and time honored
traditions of the sea.

We wanted to show that a family with a modest income and a desire to make their
dreams a reality could actually accomplish such a goal.
